Ragnar Relay...

Last weekend I ran a relay with some friends. They had asked me to do it a long time ago, but I said no because I wasn't too excited about running ALOT and getting no sleep. Someone on the team got hurt though so they asked me again if I would take her place, and I"m so glad that i did! It was so much fun. There were two vans with 6 girls each. The first van left Thursday night and our van left Friday morning to meet them. We started running at 1 pm. and I was the first runner. I ran 8 miles then at 11:15 pm ran another 7 miles! Thankfully a girl in the other van ran with me at night! It was so scary even to be running with another person. It was so dark with no one around. Our van finally got some sleep between 5am to 7am then we had to start running again. I hurt my knee so a girl in my van ran my last leg for me, but then as soon as it was her turn to start her last leg, my knee felt better so I ran it for her. It was such a crazy but fun experience! And I might have to do it again next year!

This is before we knew what we were getting into!
The whole group except for Tara, we were waiting for her to finish so that I could start my first leg!
Waiting to start my first run!
We ran along the beach almost the whole way! It was beautiful!

We were done with our legs and we had 4 hours until I had to start running again!
So we all went to Denny's! It was pretty disgusting!
Our names were hormonal hotties! Kind of embarrassing!

Sadie and I getting ready to run 7 miles, in the dark!
We finally finished! I was so excited at this point to take a shower and go to bed!

Are you serious you would do it again? Let's just tell our husbands we are doing it and get a hotel room on a beach and come home two days later! That is a better idea dont you think? I'm glad you did it, wish we could have been in the same van, but still fun. Do you want to run again? I'm going to take a break!

You girls are crazy! Even if I could run (which I can't) I wouldn't think this would sound fun at all! lol...you go you hormonal hotties! :)

you are such a stud, Elizabeth. You are the only one I know that can say she gave up running, etc, and then just jump on board to run that crazy thing. You are a machine! I'm so impressed.

Liz...I never knew that you were going to do that race!! I tried to enlist my friends and their husbands back in the fall when I had recieved the flyer, and I was SERIOUS, but unfortunately no one else was and I think you had to start training for that on like Dec. 5th or something!! That looks like sooo much fun but very hard also. You will have to tell me all about it! Love you-Jenn
