St. George Marathon...

So the picture above is the picture we took before we knew really what we were getting into! Little did we know it was going to rain the ENTIRE time that we were running and we wouldn't be able to walk the next 5 days!! I'm sick of having to walk down my stairs backwards! I'm like an old lady with a broken hip or something! And I'm not talking just sprinkling here and there, I'm talking RAINING! Before we even started our feet were soaked! I'm so glad that the Marathon is over! Supposedly that is the 2nd time it rained on the marathon day in 25 years! What are the chances seriously!!
Here's a picture Sara's husband took of me running, I only had a mile left and I was DYING!
You can't really tell in this picture, but we are completely soaked! My goal was to finish the race in 4 hours and I actually did it! I was soo excited and I'm even more excited to not run for the next 2 months!!

How come my blog post is four pages long and yours and Meghans are so short??? I didn't want to forget the details, because I know i will never do it again! ha ha. You did so awesome, i couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for the fun memories (mostly from training), and I agree I'm so excited that we don't have to run for 2 months, or maybe ever again!!! Just food for thought...how would we have done if it wasn't raining? Are you tempted?

You guys are full on rock stars. I am so impressed and jealous that you have it in you to complete something like that. I don't think I could ever do it.

YOU ARE A STUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am seriously speechless at how awesome you are. I love that you play like it was hard and you were dying, but I know deep down that you are a machine and you could run 2 more marathons if you wanted to. You are my hero!!!

I too am so impressed. Not cause I thought you couldn't do it, but I'm just in awe of you gals and what it takes to do something like this! Oh, and also that you were even at the temple the night before you had to drive with three kids alone to St. George in the first place to do this?!

Like I said, impressed my friend, impressed :)

Lizzie........you truly are an inspiration to all around you. You set your mind to something and you don't ever give up! I'm secretly Very Very proud of you and Meggie (even tho you know how I feel about marathons!) I just hope you both got it out of your systems and can just exercise like we normal slugs! Way to go honey..........you're something else! You and that twin sister of yours! x0x0x0x0x

Robby J,

What's going on, I didn't see you running in the picture. Don't tell me you were watching the kids because I know Grandma and Grandpa live right there. What, you didn't want the strawberry blonde to get wet? I'm a little disappointed in you. I know we're getting really close to 30 and the 30's are a time to expand the waistline, but you still have time. Don't let me down. Anyways, great job Liz and Meghan, my only question is how soggy were the shoes and socks by the end of the race?

You did not run a marathon! I am so impressed, but not surprised. The most ridiculous part is that you look so good after having three kids. Disgusting.

You survived!! I was thinking about you guys that day. My bro-in-law did it too and got all sorts of rashes from his wet clothes!! I can't imagine!! Chances are if you ever ran it again, it won't rain! Good for you!

Liz, even attempting that race is unreal. Good work. That's a real notch in your belt to say you've even completed a marathon! Did Rob run it with you...? Oh wait, I already know the answer to that! Him and I will have to run the next one with you (if you ever attempt it again!) Keep in touch.
