Hip Replacement Surgery :(

My dad fell off his bike 3 years ago and broke his hip. They tried to just repair it but 3 years later he's still in major pain so the doctors decided that he had to have a total hip replacement! Can't stand how sad it is to see him in the hospital for a second time but thankfully the surgery went well and he has a great attitude about everything!

St. George and First day of school

We drove to St. George for a really short, but fun trip. We left on Thursday and on Friday night we were able to go see Aladdin at the Tuachan theater outside. It's always amazing there! While we were in Utah, Lynnette made my girls really cute skirts and some matching skirts for their american girl dolls. She's amazing and they were so excited to be matching with their dolls.
The day after we got home from Utah, the girls started school and can I tell you how depressing it was? I"m not kidding, I was so pathetic yesterday. I couldn't stop crying (i'm sure some of it has to do with me being pregnant)! But really as hard as it is being a mom and the kids being at home all day during the summer, I actually really don't like a quiet house. Well maybe for a few hours, but 6 1/2 hours a day is way too long for them to be gone right now. I really do miss them and love them more than life itself. I"m sure all of this will change when I have a newborn and i'm getting no sleep, but for now it's pretty boring and I really do miss them. And to top it all off, Robert left for 2 weeks for a business trip. Kinda sad around here. The good news is that the girls LOVE their teacher and LOVE school right now. (it's obviously way harder for me than them...thankfully!) I guess I just don't like them growing up, they are getting way too old! :(

Naval Dental Corp

My dad was asked to speak (along with 1 other guy) at the 100th anniversary of the Naval Dental Corp. It was on the USS Midway which was really cool. He's an INCREDIBLE man and I am so very proud to call him dad! He did an amazing job!

Taylor got Baptized!

Add caption
I cannot believe that I have an 8 year old already, where has the time gone! Taylor was so excited to get baptized. My sister Heather made her cute invitation above. :) I was sooo incredibly grateful for all of the family support. Rob's parents and my two sister-in-laws came from Utah and Arizona to celebrate this special day. They got here on Thursday and on Friday My mother-in-law took (just the girls) to a hotel to relax. It was so much fun. We ate at Roy's which was absolutely delicious!
The next day was Taylor's baptism day. We got all of the girls ready and headed to the church!
Taylor was able to wear the dress my mother-in-law made for one of her daughters weddings. It was perfect for a baptism dress.

Grandma Judd and Taylor

Grandma Judd made a dress that was exactly like Taylor's for her American Girl Doll. One of the cutest things I've ever seen!

Getting ready to be baptized. Grandma Judd also made Taylor her baptism towel. (She's amazing!!)

Taylor with all of her cousins.

So grateful for Family!! I couldn't stop crying during the baptism because I was feeling so blessed to have so many people there to support Taylor!

I made some sugar cookies for decorations and to eat of course:)

enjoying yummy food

We love Taylor so very much. She's our (strong-willed) loving little girl who cries listening to church music at night because she says it gives her a happy feeling inside and who is very sensitive and is always praying for her Grandpa Patton to not feel lonely. She's so sweet and I can't imagine my life without her!! So grateful that she chose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was such a special day.
