Taylor's Circus Birthday Party

Add caption
I bought the best Groupon deal EVER a few months ago for Taylor's birthday. It was 60 dollars for a bouncy house for 6 hours, a cotton candy machine, 2 tables and 12 chairs. I decided to do a circus/carnival theme for her party.
Some lollipop and candy sugar cookies I made

Her birthday cake

There was WAY too much junk food at this party:)

We made some really yummy popcorn with this machine!

Their party favors!

Decorations

I made this garland out of fabric and tied each fabric piece to yarn.

Such a fun bouncy house!

The girls really wanted me to come into the bouncy house before everyone got there (not that awesome jumping on it being 6 months pregnant)

Our clown working the cotton candy machine

Taylor begged Rob to be a clown for her birthday so that day I went out and bought a few things for him to wear. He was such a trooper. He was a little creepy but funny and the kids LOVED it!

Taylor had such a fun time and I had such a fun time preparing for it. I love her so much and can't EVEN believe that she's 8 years old! Now I need to go get ready for her baptism in a week, yikes!

Canada Trip 2012

Rob's parents told us we were going on a mystery trip a few months ago and we just found out 4 weeks ago that where we were going was Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island! We were so excited. We traveled with Rob's brother and his wife, Cheryl on Saturday. We flew to Chicago first and had a 6 1/2 hour lay over so a friend of Cheryl's took us out for about 5 hours to explore Chicago. It was so fun and such a fun place.
Getting ready to explore Chicago

We ate some really good Chicago deep dish pizza

Stopped at Wrigley Field with our "tour guide"
We arrived in Nova Scotia late that night, then woke up the next morning and attended church and listened to one of the best sacrament meetings i've ever heard.

BeaverTails- it's like a really different looking donut basically and we pretty much stopped every time we saw one!

International Tattoo- It was such amazing music, dancing, acrobats, trapeze, gymnastics (pretty much everything involved was awesome).

Monday- went to Peggy's Cove and Mahone Bay where they had a really cool pewter shop. We then headed over to Lunemberg to see a really pretty church.

The Whole gang

Almost every time we saw a bakery, we stopped:)

Eating some yummy fish

The Harbour Hopper was awesome. We drove around town for 30 minutes then the car/boat went straight into the water for another 30 minutes. Such beautiful scenery!

Tuesday: Got up and went to the Citadel Fort. It was pretty cool.

Stopped at Sugar Moon Farms. This place had AMAZING maple butter, maple syrup, maple whip cream. It was all so yummy.

Wednesday: Got up and went whale watching. We saw WAY more whales then I'd ever thought we'd see, so fun!

After whale watching we drove along the Cabot Trail which had the most beautiful scenery EVER!

While driving we saw a bald eagle, which was amazing!

Thursday: We took a Ferry over to Prince Edward Island.

Stopped at Singing Sands Beach, where we all rubbed our feet over the sand to make it sing :)

I somehow convinced Rob to jump off a bridge (with clothes on) into the beach even though it clearly states that jumping is prohibited! (although all of the locals were doing it) I'm pretty sure he loved every second of it:)

After the beach we headed to a 60 ft. buffet, then did some souvenir shopping.

Friday: The guys went golfing. Then we headed to Anne of Green Gables house. So beautiful!  Afterwards some of us headed to the beach then we were off to do what we did best...EAT!

This place was called Lot 30 and it was honestly one of the BEST MEALS I"VE EVER EATEN!

Saturday: Guys went golfing again, then we headed back to Nova Scotia and crossed the 8 mile confederation bridge.

Saturday night: we went to the Bay of Fundy where everyone (but Cheryl and I and Rob's parents) went on a fun river rafting trip.

Before they went on the raft they went mud sliding. It was hilarious and so much fun to watch.

They all tried to get some mud off before going on the raft.

The whole trip was so incredible and something I will never forget. Thanks again David and Lynnette, we loved every second of it!
